About the Summer Collegiate Experience

SCE is a high-impact, quality-learning, first-year experience for students entering the university. Admitted students register for courses, receive graded degree credits and learn about UW-Madison resources and campus culture during a seven-week summer program. The curriculum is designed to advance the students' skills in writing, mathematics, critical thinking and cultural awareness. Students will have the opportunity to meet a diverse group of first-year students, while getting adjusted to the university's academic and social environment. The cost of tuition, books, food and housing is covered by SCE.
